Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Mustard powder
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Bread crumbs

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pasta

  • Boil the macaroni until al dente, according to package instructions.
  • Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce

  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it forms a light roux.
  • Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps, until the mixture is smooth and thickens.
  • Add the cheeses and mustard powder, stirring until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and Bake

  • Mix the macaroni with the cheese sauce, ensuring all pasta is evenly coated.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • To make the cheese sauce spicier, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • If you prefer a crunchier topping, mix the bread crumbs with melted butter before sprinkling them over the mac and cheese.
