Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Brush
  • Aluminum foil
  • Oven (obviously, unless you’re friends with Prometheus)

Ingredients

  • 1 large Fresh loaf of Tuscan bread
  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • A pinch Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

Preparing the Garlic-Olive Oil Mixture

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Make sure to mix the ingredients well until they are all mixed in.

Preparing the Bread

  • Slice the Tuscan bread loaf horizontally to create two equal halves.
  • Generously brush both halves with the garlic-olive oil mixture. Make sure every inch is covered.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the oiled surfaces.

Baking

  • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cheese side up.
  • Place in an oven that has already been heated for 10 minutes with the foil covering it.
  • Remove the foil, and bake for another 10 minutes or until the edges are crispy and golden.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy crust, broil the bread for 2-3 minutes after baking. Watch it closely to prevent burning.
  • Feel free to add your favorite herbs to the garlic-olive oil mixture for a personalized touch.
  • Serve warm for the best experience. This bread pairs wonderfully with pasta, soup, or salad.
