Ingredients

  • 4 cups Sweet corn kernels fresh, frozen, or canned
  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar optional
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Water if using fresh or frozen corn
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Corn: If using fresh corn, shuck the corn and remove the silk. Cutting the corn off the cob should be done with a sharp knife. For frozen corn, thaw it slightly. If using canned corn, drain it well.
  • Cook the corn: Melt the butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the corn kernels. If you’re using fresh or frozen corn, add the water at this stage.
  • Season: Sprinkle the sugar (if using), salt, and black pepper over the corn. Stir well to combine.
  • Simmer: Let the corn cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s heated through and slightly caramelized.
  • Garnish and Serve: Once the corn is cooked to your liking, remove it from the heat. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for a fresh, colorful finish. Serve your Texas Roadhouse buttered corn hot and enjoy the applause.
