- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 cup 2 sticks Unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups Granulated sugar
- 4 large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Hennessy
- 1 cup Sour cream
Mixing the Dry Ingredients

- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar until light and fluffy. 
- It’s important to beat well after each egg that you add slowly. 
- Stir in the vanilla extract and Hennessy.

- Put the batter into the loaf pan that has been prepared. 
- Bake in a preheated oven at 325°F (165°C) for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 
- It should be moved to a wire rack to finish cooling after 10 minutes of cooling in the pan. 
- To get a smooth mix, make sure all of the ingredients are at room temperature.
- Don’t mix the batter too much, or the cake will be too dense.
- For an extra touch of Hennessy flavor, brush a small amount of Hennessy over the warm cake before it cools.
