Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Puffed wheat
  • 1 cup Halal shredded beef jerky
  • 1 large Cucumber thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Lime juiced
  • Hot sauce To taste
  • 2 teaspoons Tajín seasoning
  • ½ cup Grated cheese optional
  • 1 medium Avocado sliced
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes halved

Preparing the Puffed Wheat

  • Heat your deep fryer or frying pan with enough oil to deep fry the puffed wheat.
  • Fry the puffed wheat in batches until it’s golden and crispy. This should take about 1-2 minutes per batch.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the puffed wheat from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Mixing the Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the crispy puffed wheat, shredded beef jerky, and sliced cucumber.
  • Drizzle the lime juice and hot sauce over the mix, according to your taste preferences.
  • Sprinkle the Tajín seasoning over the mixture and toss well to ensure everything is evenly coated.

  • Transfer the chilindrina mixture into serving bowls or plates.
  • Top with grated cheese (if using), avocado slices, and halved cherry tomatoes.
