Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar for pickling

Ingredients

  • 3 large Cucumbers thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Chamoy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons Chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

Step: Prepare the Pickling Mixture

  • In your large mixing bowl, combine the Chamoy sauce, lime juice, chili powder, sugar, and salt. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  • Add the thinly sliced cucumbers to the bowl. Toss them gently to coat them thoroughly with the pickling mixture.
  • Note: Make sure each cucumber slice gets an even coating of the Chamoy mix to ensure the flavors are well-absorbed.

Step: Jar the Cucumbers

  • Transfer the coated cucumber slices into your pickling jar.
  • Pour any remaining mixture from the bowl over the cucumbers in the jar. Seal the jar tightly.
  • Note: The cucumbers should be fully submerged in the mixture to pickle evenly.

Notes

  • Quick Pickle: If you’re short on time, let the pickles sit at room temperature for about an hour before serving—they’ll still be delicious!
  • Adjust Spice Levels: Feel free to adjust the amount of chili powder based on how spicy you like your pickles.
